I discovered a very tasty tea that I just wanted to share with you all. It’s surprisingly worth a try.
As you probably know if you’ve been following this blog for any length of time I am a fan of the teas from Republic of Tea. They have a great selection of many different types and I’ve always been pleased with the quality of teas I’ve received from them.
In general I like to steep my tea from loose leafs, as it tends to provide a better flavor and experience, but sometimes it’s not very convenient to have to deal with the loading up and cleaning out the steeper. Like when you’re running around like crazy and work but need your tea fix!
A few months ago I received a sample packet of their Caramel Apple Red Tea.
I looked at it and thought hmmm, I’m not really a fan of tea bags and Rooibos teas aren’t my fav, so I’ll just skip this one. I left it sitting on my desk at work for a little over a month. It was Monday and I needed my tea fix. I went to my can of trusty Matcha, but found it to be sadly empty! What to do????
I found the sample of Caramel Apple Rea Tea still floating about on my desk amongst my piles of paper work. Hmmm… I thought I had gotten rid of that… should I try it? Why not, what have I to lose? It’s survived over a month amongst the desk chaos. It’s earned a try.
I’m glad I tried it. Yes, it’s a bag tea, but surprisingly it’s full of a nice vibrant flavor. The flavors of apple, caramel, and vanilla were all present and it was an unexpected satisfying blend. It was a good find and I ended up buying a container of it. While it won’t be a daily drink for me, it will definitely be something I enjoy on a regular basis.
Just like most culinary experiences it will be different for everyone, but for me it was a good discovery and I think worth a try.
